Good morning ♡
Blessed Monday 🙂 I hope everyone had a good weekend. The word today is Patience. The dictionary defines patience as “the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.” Synonyms include forbearance, tolerance, restraint, & self-restraint. What does this mean to you? In a world that moves in the blink of an eye, patience seems far fetched but is still reasonable to expect.
When it comes to maintaining your inner peace, patience, the art of waiting productively while an answer becomes known to you is so key. I get this question alot when it comes to meditation: “How do you sit still & silence your mind? I can’t seem to sit still for 2mins without my mind getting too busy!” My response: There are times I struggle with the barrage of thoughta when I go to begin a meditation. I’ve learned that meditation is not simply the act of sitting still & turning off the brain, but rather it is the method of tuning in to the mind & Spirit.” The goal is not necessarily to block out thoughts, but it’s to learn how to not let your thoughts control you & let them pass as you are physically still. This allows your Spirit access to speak to you deeply in a place where you are most present. There are many methods to meditation (i.e. coloring with mandalas, candle lights, tea meditation, etc). But the theme is the same: be still. It can be as short as 2mins a day, but the patience comes when you begin to understand that you may be physically still but Spiritually you are working. The same goes when waiting for something in the physical. You can wait & be frustrated, getting annoyed at each minute you are kept waiting, or you can wait productively, doing something that is helpful to you (i.e. read an e-book, complete your grocery list, make that phone call you’ve been putting off. Do something that can pass the time easier, & in essence making you more ready to receive what you are waiting for.
As we go through the Monday rituals, try to practice more patience in the everyday tasks. Exercise that muscle & feel the strength that comes from waiting productively, building a stronger Peace & Positive vibe. You may be surprised that what seemed like a long wait was just preparing you to receive you desire result. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡☆
“Patience is not simply the ability to wait – it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.”- Joyce Meyer
