It’s easier said than done

Good morning ♡

“It’s easier said than done.”

We are all familiar with that phrase, especially when faced with hard-to-manage issues and we don’t really know what to do. People come with advice or you yourself give yourself advice on how to proceed, but for some reason you are met with criticism and lack of motivation. Feels overwhelming, almost like you’re drowning, at times, doesn’t it? When you find yourself in this moment, like you aren’t enough to do what you need to do, think of this: the littlest step is just the first of many. Without it, you may never reach your destination. Embrace the fact that there will be days that you make leaps and bounds, and other days you will make tiny ripples in the sea of Life. There will also be days where you simply stand still just to listen for instruction. You haven’t given up yet and you don’t need to. All it takes is just one step, no matter how big or small. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action: Today, take a moment to reflect on the steps you have taken, the choices you have made, that have brought you to where you are right now. Are you pleased? If you are then that’s ideal. You can continue to work towards the good of what you are doing, in humility and love. If you aren’t where you want or need to be, then evaluate : what do I need to make it towards my goals? Write down what is needed to be done and make a step in that direction each day until one day you will see that you have made it. Contrary to common beleif, this is not a race. Each of us are here for a purpose and we move at the pace necessary for us as individuals; however, it is not an excuse to waste time and take advantage of the good people and opportunities you are presented with. Make choices that you can be proud of and move towards your goal with ambition and gratitude ♡

Give a little (well, a LOT) Love!

Standard

Good morning ♡

Be at peace. Give yourself the Love you need and remember to give it to someone else. Doing good for yourself (and I dont mean buying yourself lavish gifts or spending huge amounts of money in attempts to prove you’re worthy of something), but true good (giving yourself positive affirmations and feelings, exercising and eating better, prayer and meditation, etc). Put in what you want to get out of this experience called Life. And the first step to being comfortable with who you are, flaws and all, is to be at peace with You. Deep down, be at peace. You may not want to be where you want to be but you are where you need to be to propel you to where you need to be going. Just remember the importance of humility and take heed to the signs you are being given. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action: Self care is of utmost importance when attempting to achieve inner peace. One way to provide yourself with such care is to start from the top. How is your mind? If you find yourself being ovwr critical about your decisions and choices in life, if you’re beating up on yourself and sayjng negative things to yourself anout yourself, then it’s time to rewind that mental tape and press record. Record over what you would normally have played to yourself (I’m useless; how could I be so stupid?; what is wrong with me?, etc), with more n positive affirmations (I can do this!, I am worthy, it is allnworking together for my good, etc). Let the positive words and phrase camcel out the negative ones and feel the greatness that naturally flows within.

Quote: . “To experience peace does not mean that your life is always blissful. It means that you are capable of tapping into a blissful state of mind amidst the normal chaos of a hectic life.” – Jill Bolte Taylor84444fec3d020bb94448e8b8ab9a8375

All you have to do is smile!

Standard

Good morning ♡

Today’s Feel Free Friday moment is: Mr. Happy! Some mornings, I treat myself to a Starbucks latte. Usually the same team work at the drinks bar mixing the drinks after you order. They are very cordial and welcoming, and always make the experience a pleasant one. Yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised at the new person on the team at the bar. Yes his unconventional style caught my eye, but what got me was what his nametag read: Mr. Happy! It made me really smile, that genuine happy smile, and I looked around to see if it was something everyone was doing with their name tags, you know, writing something cute and funny to arouse positive responses from customers. They weren’t. This made smile even more, as it was out of the ordinary. Needless to say, this guy made everyone smile and spread so much positivity and happiness with not only his name tag but with his customer service. While I waited for my drink, he said to the the other ladies waiting that a smile is necessary for service. He said that with a big smile of his own of course, and instantly they started cheesing! Smiles spread form ear to ear, even me who was already smiling (I do that daily as much as possible to spread love through me and to lighten other folk’s droopy early morning expressions). He made our drinks and bid us a good day. I was really impressed by the “new guy”that I went back later and asked if he wouldn’t mind to take a picture to go with my blog as his name tag and demeanor inspired for my Friday write up. He asked about my blog and I told him about the peacefulprojectblog.wordpress.com. He then shocked me with, “Ah, I’ve heard of your blog! I would love to pose for a shot; I’m a photographer so this is right up my alley!” And while making a drink he let me take a photo. I thanked him for the inspiration and we exchanged instagrams. He is an amazing photographer by the way, very edgey and mysterious. It’s absoultely refreshing to see others genuinely doing things that are inspiring to others. He told me that is why he writes his name tag like that, so that others can smile and feel good, to spread posisitvuty. So cheers to Mr. Happy! Thank you for making my latte yesterday morning and thank you for spreading Joy to your customers, not only with good Joe, but with the true meaning of service with a smile 🙂 Love yourself and be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action : Do something today that will make someone else smile. Give love to someone by simply adding some Joy to their day and feel the upliftment of that moment. It’s addictive so don’t be surprised if you find yourself seeking more and more ways to spread Joy!

Live in your truth!

Standard

Good morning ♡

With patience, follow your passion and you will have the freedom you desire and require. When we put our elbows to the grind and focus on our goals, we can obtain our deepest passions. Putting our energy into the positve things that build our Spririt and allow us to give goodness into the loves of others, will keep us on the path to our higher selves. And when we live and love in our truths, well, that is absolute freedom. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action: What is your passion? What drives you? Pursue it with patience. Take the time to live in each moment of the journey today while acheieving your goal and take note. Write down each achievement along the way and read them anytime you feel discouraged. They can serve as reminders that you have made progress and are on the right track♡

Lighten the load and keep moving forward ♡☆

Good morning ♡

What does forgiveness mean to you? How do you practice it? Is it limited to people you know? Is it offered to anyone who wrongs you, or are you prone to hold the grudge? One thing about forgiving someone that has upset or hurt us is that it doesn’t mean we now give them permission to do it again. Instead, it allows us to acknowlege the humanness in them, and within ourselves, that we too make mistakes and do things that rub others the wrong way. This is one way of practicing unconditional love of self, to love yourself enough to let go of what another person has done and move forward with the knowledge of how to either reconcile and continue to grow together, or to now leave that friendship behind and live on. But always remember this: time waits on no one, so if you think you have a lot time to make it right with someone or even with yourself, you may not. So take the chance and give the gift of forgiveness. After all, you get what you give. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action : Think of a time when you had a hard time forgiving someone in your life. Now think of a time where you thought you would never have been forgiven. Compare and contrast the two now. Is there much difference at the core of the situations? And regardless of the list, close your eyes and make a concious decision to apply forgiveness to that situation. And forgive yourself too ♡

Quote: “Sincere forgiveness isn’t colored with expectations that the other person apologize or change. Don’t worry whether or not they finally understand you. Love them and release them. Life feeds back truth to people in its own way and time-just like it does for you and me.” – Sara Paddison

Always choose up!

Standard

Good morning ♡

Today is a new day! What you felt yesterday may not be the same as right now, or, maybe it does. If it is a feeling of Joy, embrace that! Strive today to find ways to keep that feeling with you and spread it to others you encounter. If you have feelings of sadness, feel it but don’t dwell in it. At every instance today, make it your activity to also seek out Joy. Find ways to stir up a change witin so that your vibrations are positive and can reflect into other areas of your life. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action: Feeling happy and joyous? Share a smile 🙂 Make someone laugh! Pay for the coffee forbthe other person behind you in line! Anything that sreads goodness do it! Feeling sadness or depression? Practicing gratitude is the simplest yet one of the most powerful ways next to prayer to take yourself away from your sadness. A lpt of times we are sad because we feel something is missing from our lives, but when you look towards what you do have and give thanks, you are more able to see what is not missing at all and can envision things in life more clearly. Solutions become more evident and your sadness starts to feel less, little by little or by alot, all depends on how you feel it. In either case, happy or sad, give thanks and move forward with trust that all is as it should be to help make you a better person. The Universe conspires in your favour ♡

Quote: ” Today I choose life. Every morning when I wake up I can choose joy, happiness, negativity, pain… To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices – today I choose to feel life, not to deny my humanity but embrace it.”-Kevyn Aucoin

Ease the tension!

Standard

Good morning ♡

Tension is a serious thing, something that binds and holds tight,so tight that it causes pain. This applies to all types of tension: physical, emotional, relationship, workplace, etc. Now think about what happens when you release that tension, when you explore ways to rid yourself and environment of that feeling. You become more loose and you feel more free. And once you relieve that tension, do you notice clarity? Things you thought had no solution now have a myriad of options for you to choose from to move forward into in a positive and less stressful way. Yoga is a great way to release tension if you’re looking at exercise as a way to relieve it. Venting, praying, going for a walk, spending time with people who help you laugh, etc, are other good ways to releive your tension. The next time you feel tension, take notice of how you feel more clear headed and solution-oriented once it’s relieved, instead of focused on the pain and stress. Then, give thanks!!!!! Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action: Today, and every time you feel tense, make a concious effort to find a solution. Start by taking a deep breath and imagine the air flowing through each of your muscles all throughout your body. Then think about what feels right and good instead of the pain. Breathe in thatvmoment of clarity when it comes ♡

Trust and believe!

Standard

Good morning ♡

As fog covers the city this morning, it inspired me. Yesterday, I spoke on the importance of Faith and believing in things we cannot see. Well, literally, this morning each of us had to believe in what we couldn’t see: the sidewalk in front of us, the road ahead, the traffic lights, etc. We trust and believe in what we know is goingto be there. And if it isn’t?  We look for a sign. We look for something to show us the way to our destination.  But even in the mysteriousness of the fog, there is a beauty in the white misty air that seems peaceful just looking at it. Today, let us be at peace, knowing that although we may not see it, what we need is right there.  And when we encounter a problem or obstacle, ask for sign♡ Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action: In addition to yesterday’s action of prayer, another way to activate your faith is to ask for what you need and believe it will show up. Believe it is already there and feel it. Like my favourite writer would put it, “Act like you know!” (Iyanla Vanzant). Move forward in the feeling that what you have prayed about is there already, and ask for guidance to see and heed the signs and preparation to do what is right with what we receive ♡

There’s light at the end of the tunnel…

Standard

Good morning ♡

As you follow our dreams, let Faith be your guide. In the quest to achieve greatness, it is easy to get sidetracked and lose hope when things don’t go our way. It is easy to say it won’t happen because we cannot quite see the outcome or the means that can help us acheieve the goal. But Faith is not to believe only in what you see,  but also in what you don’t see. Have the hope and believe in confidence that the good you are working to attain is within reach. Believe it! Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action:  How to activate your divinely appointed Faith: Pray and have trust that your prayers will be answered. It is not necessary to have a specific prayer or set of words to say, even though they do help. Butbif you don’t have any at the time, just speak from the heart, truly. Follow the feelings of positivity and allow Spirit to guide you. And embrace Peace! This is key as we tend to worry about so many of our troubles. But when we release that to the Almighty we must allow the feeling of Peace to reside so that we allow assurance to fill the void and build the trust required ♡☆♡☆♡☆♡

Remember all the Joy!

Standard

Good morning ♡

A new week has arrived and give thanks!  In life we are faced with trials that want to take the best of us but still we have made it into another week. With that in mind, just breathe a thank you into the air. Put gratitude into you environment and remember what you have. There is always something to be joyful about. Love yourself & be yourself.

Action: Today, make a gratitude list. In Rhonda Byrnes’ “The Magic,” making a daily gratitude list was a practice in which she acreditted to feeling more gratitude and attracting more things and situations to be gratful for.  I have found this to be so helpful in visualizing the things I am thankful for in life. Not only can you see it, but the more you come up with is thr more you will find things to be grateful for. Try it and watch how your positivity will grow as you give thanks for all that you have ♡

Quote: “Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so, let us all be thankful.” – Buddha
