A New Chapter

Good morning ♡

When you’re down in the dumps about things not going as planned in life, replaying old choices & decisions in your mind, relving past experiences, that’s the time when you have to tell yourself a new story about yourself. Start a new chapter. Some situations may not be favourable, someone may have done you wrong, you may still be carrying around hurts & pains from your childhood. Whatever it is, when you feel the urge to stew in your stressed out & frustrated juices, take a deep breath & put your focus on something more productive. Think about what makes you happy & brings you joy. Put your energies into a long overdue project that you haven’t spent time with in a while, or maybe it’s something new you want to try. All that other stuff that you can’t do anything about now is just keeping you back from living & enjoying ypur life. Sometimes you just have to accept an apology that never came & move on. There comes a time where you have to remember your worth & not let past decisions, situations, hurts & dischords define you. Other people’s actions don’t define your own, yours do. So let go of the burdens of guilt & shame, remember who your are & live in that truth. It will take some time so be patient with yourself. Just know that this process is to prepare you for what’s coming next in your life. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

New day, new start!

Good afternoon ♡

How we greet the day helps set the tone for the rest of it. This past Sunday morning started off slow, thankfully, as I had some time to sleep in. My daughter woke me up, not to say the usual, “I’m hungry, Momma,” or “Mom, where are we going today,” while peeling my eyes open. Nope, my daughter leaned in nice & close, & whispered, “Momma, I love you, & you know what? Nothing will ever chnage that.” I smiled so broad when she said that and pulled her in for a real close snuggle. I almost cried. Needless to say, anything that wanted to bring me down dwindled away in the light of that Love & it was a great day.

The importance of how we start our mornings really helps to determine how we will feel for the rest of the day. A very important aspect to remember in how our day goes is to look to the Good. Focus on what is going well & not so much on what isn’t. When we do that, we invite more Good into our space & into our lives. It can be difficult, especially when things seem to be going wrong in many areas. But it’s worth it. Even the smallest change of thought can open you up to more possibilities of more Positivity. Try it today, the rest of this weekend, & everyday, & look for Good in everything. It’s there. And like my daughter’s simple words, the smallest things can be the most powerful in making a down time feel upful. Start your days with hope that your silver lining will be revealed. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Self care in tumultuous times….

Good morning ♡

With all the craziness happening with the police in the U.S. & our young Black men these last few days, it has been hard to write. Needless to say, emotions are flaring & the way things continue to unfold, they are more than likely to conitnue to escalate. Today, I feel a bit clearer and calmer to be able to write. How does one find a sense of Peace in the midst of this? How can we provide support for our community that is suffering through grief, anguish, & frustration? As some of us may be on the front lines at protests or providing support in other ways, we all need a moment to recollect ourselves to offer our best selves, for ourselves & families, & to our community. Here are some ways to balance your innerself & find ways to increase the Peace:

1.Take sometime to remove yourself from watching the news & take the time to get into a good book. Focussing your mind on

2.Write in your journal & express your feelings on paper. Doing so, you can read it back to yourself & see from another perspective how you feel & decide how want to act.

3. Have a hot soak in the tub if you can. Let the warm water soothe you &bring you closer to a sense of calm,helping you to thinking &see things clearer.

4.Take a break from the traumatizing scenes & conversations for a few minutes & talk about something positive.

5.Make time to take a walk & surround yourself in nature (the warm weather is here & it’s so inviting).

6.Spend some time with loved ones & friends doing something that will balance the energy to avoid being overwhelmed by the sadness and grief.

7. Finding out how you can contribute to assist those in need right now is another way you can help balance out your emotions &channel them in a useful way. Find out how you can donate your time or resources, or funds if you can, to the Cause. It can bring some satisfaction to know that you’re actively doing something to help those in need & contributing to the community.

The importance of being positive is easily lost in times like these, but it is important nonetheless.  Whatever you choose to do, do it in Love. With all the hatred, racist politics & comments going around, a little Love from each of us goes a long way. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

The Beauty within

Terrific Tuesday is here 🙂 Today’s morning daily is something simple but has resonated through my heart to bring to you today. We all want someone to look at us & see the beauty that resides within. But how can they if we don’t see it ourselves? If we want people to see us for we are, we have to see ourselves for who we are, first. What resonates on the inside will become so bright that others can’t help but notice. This is not to say that we should live for the approval of others, but we can’t complain about others not valuing us if we don’t see the value in ourselves? Love yourself & be yourself.
