Motivation Monday: The Breath of Life💨

Blessed risings on this humid Monday morning 😎 Today’s motivation reminder: it all starts with Breath.

Something we often take for granted is breathing, absent mindedly doing it all the time. But, have you been holding yours?

I find when stress really gets to me, I hold my breath, & it gets shallow & unsteady, until I take a moment to really breathe. I take a deep inhalation & exhale slowly to feel the air through my body.

Recently, I learned of a meditative breathing technique “4-7-8” where you breathe in for 4seconds, hold it for 7seconds, & release it slowly for 8seconds. While doing it, you are becoming more aware of the Breath of Life, the flow of blood through your veins, the fact that Life still exists for you here in this realm. Practicing this method during my meditations has really helped bring it to another level of clarity, mental & spiritual awareness, bringing my closer to my truest self & Almighty.

Is anxiety getting to you? Take a breath & relax. Calm your Mind, Body, & Spirit with some deep breaths. Let your belly rise as your lungs fills with air & exhale slowly through your mouth, paying attention to only that present moment of breathing. The take a moment to contemplate what it is that has you feeling anxious, sad, angry, etc, & ask yourself if it’s worth the dischord in your life, is there another way to approach the issue/situation most amicably? Lastly, let it go. Give it some prayer & have faith that the good you are doing will make a smoother path for you to manage whatever Life has in store for you.

When we give ourselves the permission to be present in the moment, we give ourselves the Love we require to carry on despite all of Life’s challenges. It all starts with a single deep breath. Inhale. Exhale. Have a great day & week my Loves😘

“I took a deep breath and listened to the old brag of my heart. I am, I am, I am.” – Sylvia Plath
