Wellness Wednesday: It’s all in the feeling…

Greetings!

Back for another Wednesday 🙂 This Wellness Wednesday, we explore Feeling: how long should we stay in our feelings? When it’s a positive feeling, then we should embrace that as much as possible. Find ways to maintain it, like having a good conversation with an old friend or continuing onnin what made you feel great! And speak on it! Put it into the Universe & let it flow! Let it touch others arpund you & flow right back into your own vibration. What goes around comes around!

When the feelings are negative, then we have to find ways to let positivity absorb them. There’s absoultey nothing wrong with being angry or sad as such feelings can be very well justified.  If someone has hurt you or someone close to you has passed away, you lost your job or had a fight with your spouse, it is very understandable that one would feel down & out. But how long do we stay there?

Over the holidays, my daughter & I were heading out on some errands & a driver behind me proceeded to beep me through every stop sign. Not sure what was going on & thinking maybe my trunk was open or something, I stopped & got out. Then I saw his angry face & asked him what the problem is, only to find out he was beeping me because he feels I didn’t stop at the stop sign (I did). Long story short, my daughter was angry as she felt the man wasn’t waiting his turn & shouldn’t harass us while driving. Agreeing with her, I also let her know that staying angry won’t do much now, especially noting that the situation is over & we probably will never see the man again. I let her know as well that the more we stay angry the more it builds & spills over into other life areas & that won’t do us any good. We talked about examples of this how to counteract hate with love. She understood. Understanding that anger can be justified, doesn’t have to linger & can be neutralized into something positive.

All in all, there really is no time frame for getting over neagtive emotions or down feelings. It’s all in how we handle them day to day. When the down feelings out weigh the joy & peace, we inadvertently bring more of that into our lives. Let something positive transform these feelings into something that will lift us up & not bring us down. Watch a funny show to give you the laughs.  Have a tickle fight with a loved one.  Make a special meal & enjoy it. Take the negative and let something positive absorb it & find the gratitude in everything.

We have the power to choose how we feel & where it takes us. What feeling will you choose today? Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡☆
