Greetings!
Cheers to a Thoughtful Thursday! As we continue on in this first week of 2017, let’s keep the fresh start ideas going. In speaking with friends, many are on a detox cleanse, using hime remedies to cleanse their physicals of the Holiday sweets & foods that were like “death” to their diets. For this Thoughtful Thursday, I propose that in addition to such physical cleanses, that we also do a Life Cleanse. In the mental & spiritual, let us take some time to examine what needs to improve, & what changes can be made to be our best selves. What would something like this look like to you?
Recently, I was given a good reminder about the importance of taking care of the inside so that it manifests on the outside (thanks Janet)! I took those words of wisdom a little deeper & decided to overhaul each level of my life experience. For me, this is what my Life Cleanse is looking like so far:
Mentally: Lately, I have been working on detoxing from t.v. during the week so that I have more time to read and write. Journalling has always been one of my favorite things to do when I need to clear my mind, but unwinding in front of my favorite show has also been added to that. Needless to say I’m pooped when I try to write before bed. For the last few weeks, watching less t.v. during the week has definitley aided in sleep but has increased the amount that I can write, thus adding to a clearer mind & more freedom of thought. I also make it a huge point to redirect any thoughts that try to self defeat me or question my self value & worth. We can be our worst enemy at times & by giving myself more loving & encouraging thoughts, has definitely quieted the thoughts that encourage doubts and & fears. Feels great so far!
Spiritually: As a close second to my mental cleanse, I also have more time for yoga & meditation. After my little one has gone off to dreamland I have free time to set aside time to focus on deep breathing & meditation exercises. I have found that incense oils that are known to enhance peaceful energies such as Sage and Lavendar, have helped me to keep a meditative state for longer. Granted, sometimes I fall asleep during such sessions, but I have learned that it just means my body wants sleep & I no lomger beat myself up about that. In this, I am bale to channel more of a calm demeanor from the inside out, helping me face life’s experiences with a cleared outlook best suited for my soul.
Physically: Getting my vitamins back in stock, fitting in lunch time workouts & encouraging clean eating more regularly, is a definite must in keeping my life balanced. I encourage you too to drink more water & add veggies & greens to your meals daily to increase the vitmain & electrolyte utilizatation in your system. What goes in is what comes out, so on this journey, I make it a point to eat as clean as possible daily. Does it mean I don’t enjoy a cookie or two? Yes, but do I enjoy half the bag? Nope! Lol! Exercising will power is a definite must across all areas of life & with eating, this has to apply. Don’t starve yourself because all that does is increase the want for what you crave, but in much moderation, wean yourself from the sweets & not so healthy choices so you can increase the benefits from the healthy ones 🙂
These are things I find helpful for me so far, & I am sure that there are many ways that you have found work best for you. Feel free to share your own detox methods in the comments! If you don’t have a method you like, you can definitley try mine & tell me what you think. I soon will be posting product reviews so that you can see what else is out there that I have tried & that you can add to your journey to Peace if you like! Stay tuned!
Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡☆
