Motivational Monday! 

​Good morning ♡

I hope we all had good weekends ♡ Today’s Motivational Monday post is very near & dear to me: Cancer.  There are many things going on for the month of October, one of them being Cancer awareness. I want to take the time to send love to those I know who have beat this terrible illness, to those who are battling it, & to those of us who are the support system for those going through it. If there is anything I have learned from seeing close family & friends battle with this is that the most important thing during treatment & recovery is attitude. That positive outlook is so crucial to the recovery process, whether it’s between treatments or during remission. Research has also shown that it helps even cases that are terminal. From this I am reminded that we can either take the lemons life gives us & squeeze the sourness until it stains our fingers & it’s all we taste, or we can add some sugar & water & make lemonade. I send much love to those who are battling this illness & for the family & friends giving their love & support. For those who are grieving, may you always remember Almighty within & find Peace within your grieving process. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡☆

Terrific Tuesday: Post-Turkey-Day!

​Good morning ♡

Welcome back after this long weekend 🙂 I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday with family & friends. For those who worked yesterday, I hope that your day was productive (& you were able to get some good eats 😉 ). In follow up to the Thanksgiving holiday,  what are you grateful for? What do you miss that maybe you took for granted? What do you have that you couldn’t do without that you have the utmost gratitude for? What does it mean to be content rather than complacent? Many times, we interchange the meaning of contentment with that of complacency.  To be complacent is to be stagnant & feel as though there is nothing left to learn or grow into. There is no room for more goal settings as you are comfortable where you are & there is nothing more to gain &as such no room for gratitude. With contentment, we are satisfied & grateful that we have grown into the place where we are, however, we are setting new goals & striving to find ways to grow  further to meet them. In this place, we find much gratitude.  We find more & more things to be thankful for because without the past & present  circumstances that brought us to our current place in life, we wouldn’t be constructing new & improved ways to grow, making room to further enhance where you’re at. And in that, there is always room to give thanks 🙂 

So it’s not only on Thanksgiving Day that should we remember what it is that we have, but rather each & every day. The things we take for granted are often times that things we need most (i.e. fresh air, family, etc). Each day we are living, we should always remember to give thanks for our lives & the things (material & especially non-material) that bring us joy, comfort, love, Peace, & so on. Even the hard times give us something to be grateful for, as we draw on strengths we never knew we had to make it through to another day. 

Today, & everyday, I am grateful for the love of family & friends who have been with me & struck by me when the times were hitting hard & celebrated with me in good times. I am grateful for the unconditional love of my daughter,  as she reminds me that no matter what, forgiveness & a new day greeted with a smile are the simple yet profound ways in which inner Peace can be relocated. These & much more am I grateful for. 

So today, please carry with you an auora of gratitude, & feel the Peacefulness flow through you & into others.

Thoughtful Thursday: Spilled Milk

Good morning ♡

If anyone had a chance to see this morning’s sunrise, what a view! Unfortunately, I couldn’t capture a picture but it was absolutely gorgeous! A deep firey orange sun burst through cloudy wisps, casting a pink, orange, & blue wave over the sky, its rays shining through the spaces in the clouds. It gave me that dependable sign that no matter what happens,the sun is always shining. I also felt it very befitting for my post for today’s Thoughtful Thursday, to not cry over spilled milk. Wipe it up, learn from the mistakes. & do better next time.

Last night as I was thinking of the saying, “Don’t cry over spilled milk,” my big hot cup of tea slipped out of my hand & spilled all over the stove. Needless to say I was annoyed. My wind down time was cut short as I wiped up the stove, moving it from the wall & moping the floor. Thankfully, I had a good friend who called me right after & reminded me not to get mad. I wasn’t mad, just annoyed. But just as oxygen gives life & can ease muscle pain, deep breaths calmed me while I cleaned up, & I began to think about the ways I could have avoided this. “Do one thing at a time, Dee. Not everything has to be done at once.” I was trying to make my tea, turn off the stove,  & pick up the cup to turn off the kitchen light. Yea, I know. Multi-tasking is great but not in every instance. I soon cleaned it all up & the kitchen looks even cleaner than it did before 🙂

I could’ve whined & complained about the big spill & having to clean it. I could’ve gotten stuck in the annoyance. Instead i focused on what could be done better next time as to make a better decision. In the process, my kitchen was extra clean & shiny. We often get stuck in the mistake or not-so-good choice, & we begin to feel inadequate. We start to think less of ourselves & those negative self talks become louder & louder, drowning out the positive vibrations that are trying to reach us.  Just like the gorgeous sunrise this morning, just like my shiny clean kitchen , there is always a bright side. There is always something to learn & grow into. If we don’t cry over the spilled milk, we will give ourselves the chance to feel & see the brighter side. Terrific Tuesday!

​Good morning ♡

What a lovely Tuesday morning this is! Not too cold but not so warm. This is the Fall weather I love, boots & scarves, sweaters & petticoats 🙂 Today’s Terrific Tuesday post is to inspire you to replenish yourself. We can’t give what we don’t have & it’s important to cultivate what you want to see around by cultivating that same thing/desire within. 

I blog about it, I speak about it, & I hope that I continue to inspire others, with my messages of inner Peace. We are all human, & sometimes there are things in my own life that cause my inner Peace to become disrupted. I have my down moments. I have those times where I feel like I’m slipping & losing my grip along this journey called Life.  It’s in those times I remember that here is where the work is being done, the foundation is being laid for me to replenish my Spirit, & fill myself with what is needed to keep going. When the going gets tough, we keep pressing forward.I take a walk. I read uplifting quotes, I journal, & basically spend time with myself to get back to who I am. 

I say this in encouragement to you that we are not perfect & we all face things that try to threaten our Peaceful cores, but we must always remember that even when it rains, the sun still shines. The clouds just have to move. Give yourself the love you need, the positive self talks, read material that will calm you & fill you with the Spiritual energies that can uplift you. Meditate. Have coffee with a friend. Whatever it is, make time to give yourself what you need so you can be the best you & reap the benefits of being the best you can be. Motivation Monday! 

​Good morning ♡

Happy Monday! October has begun & the Fall season is in full swing! As the colors of the leaves change & the winds get cooler, let it remind us today that there is beauty in change. It’s  often difficult & can be very scary. But when we look forward toward the goal & reason for the changes,  if we make a point to put our views towards the positive of it & not dwell in the negative, we can see the things we learned, the things we will come to learn,  & get a chance to heal what requires healing. Sometimes the best way to do it is to not fight the change but go with the flow, like this season. The beautiful array of colors that come about at this time of year can give us a daily dose of a reminder that things may change but there is always place to grow.
