Good morning ♡

I hope you’re all having a good week so far 🙂 For today’s Wellness Wednesday thought, be patient with yourself. There are times in our lives where we become very impatient with the process of Life. “I should’ve had this by now,” or “why hasn’t it happened yet,” or “why do I still feel this way?” Whatever it is, we seem to get caught up in seeing the results of the work we feel we’re putting in, & forget that it’s the process that prepares us for the result. We are all guilty of this, me included. My encouragement to you today is to remember to be patient with you during the time of growth. We may have to struggle for a bit, rubbing to pennies together to fund the dream, maybe spend some nights crying & venting. Whatever it is, allow yourself to go through it & leave the negative thoughts & beating yourself up about it out. This is the ultimate waiting game, while you do the work to lay the proper foundation to receive what is in store for you. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡☆

Making decisions….

Good morning ♡

Today’s Terrific Tuesday post is a short reminder to do your best to not make a decision in haste & anger, or when your emotions cloud your judgment. Take the time to think about how you respond to something or someone. Be proactive instead of reactive & exercise your patience to help you move forward in a positive & Peaceful direction. Happy Tuesday! Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡☆

“Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come.”- Robert H. Schuller

Patience is a virtue

Good morning ♡

Blessed Monday 🙂 I hope everyone had a good weekend. The word today is Patience.  The dictionary defines patience as “the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.” Synonyms include forbearance, tolerance, restraint, & self-restraint. What does this mean to you? In a world that moves in the blink of an eye, patience seems far fetched but is still reasonable to expect.

When it comes to maintaining your inner peace, patience, the art of waiting productively while an answer becomes known to you is so key. I get this question alot when it comes to meditation: “How do you sit still & silence your mind? I can’t seem to sit still for 2mins without my mind getting too busy!” My response: There are times I struggle with the barrage of thoughta when I go to begin a meditation. I’ve learned that meditation is not simply the act of sitting still & turning off the brain, but rather it is the method of tuning in to the mind & Spirit.” The goal is not necessarily to block out thoughts, but it’s to learn how to not let your thoughts control you & let them pass as you are physically still. This allows your Spirit access to speak to you deeply in a place where you are most present.  There are many methods to meditation  (i.e. coloring with mandalas, candle lights, tea meditation, etc). But the theme is the same: be still.  It can be as short as 2mins a day, but the patience comes when you begin to understand that you may be physically still but Spiritually you are working.  The same goes when waiting for something in the physical.  You can wait & be frustrated, getting annoyed at each minute you are kept waiting, or you can wait productively, doing something that is helpful to you (i.e. read an e-book, complete your grocery list, make that phone call you’ve been putting off. Do something that can pass the time easier, & in essence making you more ready to receive what you are waiting for.

As we go through the Monday rituals, try to practice more patience in the everyday tasks. Exercise that muscle & feel the strength that comes from waiting productively, building a stronger Peace & Positive vibe. You may be surprised that what seemed like a long wait was just preparing you to receive you desire result. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡☆

“Patience is not simply the ability to wait – it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.”- Joyce Meyer

Learn something new!

Good morning ♡

On the theme of Back to School & learning something new, it felt befitting to touch on the importance of learning. We never stop learning, whether it’s through formal education or life lessons, everything we experience is meant to teach us something. What have you learned, recently or in the past, that has taught you a valuable lesson? Whatever that lesson was, it has guided you along a better path for yourself, whether it was a pleasant lesson or a painful one. Today, take the time remember an important lesson you’ve learned, whether academically or personally, & give thanks for it. It was important for your growth. Also, make a point to learn something new. Maybe there’s a recipe you’d like to try or an activity you’d like to explore? Recently, I completed a course in Diabetes Education, a goal that I have been wanting to reach for many years, but certain circumstances prolonged the process of starting it. When I was accepted & began my studies, there were many times that I was nervous, presentations that I wasn’t sure I would be able to do well. Yet each step of the way, I was able to complete each assignment & pass my exams. When I received my certificate & grades,  I remembered the importance of getting out of your comfort zone & doing something new. You never know what you’re capable of until you try. Im excited to start a new journey with Diabetes education, & working on future projects & workshops as well.Next on the list of new things to try: Aerial Yoga! 🙂 Have a blessed day my loves & believe in yourself! You can do it! Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡☆

It’s Back to School!

Good afternoon ♡

It’s Back to School!

The summer break is over & the textbooks are cracking open again. Students are ready (some reluctantly) to learn something new, make new friends & reconnect with old ones, & are excited to start fresh for another new school year. There is always something a magical about that first day back to school. It was definitely a big day for my lil one who isn’t so little anymore, entering Grade 1. Butterflies in her stomach, she said, “Mom, it’s going to be difficult.” Then I reminded her of the grade 2 & 3 homework that I’ve been giving her & how she aces it,that she’ll be just fine & that her teacher is there to help if she gets stuck on some things. She understood & soon became excited when she saw all her friends & new teacher. Short & sweet, today’s Terrific Tuesday post is to inspire you to always work towards your higher self. Learning something new & remembering past lessons are so important in your growth. Be patient & gentle with you as you move into a new Autumn year, & for the students, have a great first day! Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡☆ -peacefulprojectblog.wordpress.com
