When you just smile…

Good morning ♡

Marvelous Mondays! How we greet the day usually sets the tone for the rest of it. Mondays sure can be tough can’t they? “I just wanna sleep in! Okay, 5 more minutes….”turns into “Oh no, I’m late! ” I, too, am guilty of this from time to time (& not only on Mondays). A good way to get through that, aside from getting to bed at a decent hour as regular as possible, is to smile! You use less muscles to smile & the action puts the positive thought into motion. You can’t help but think good & not “Oh crap,” thoughts. Try it! Smile a while & give thanks! Today is a new day! Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Activity: Smile throughout the day. Challenge yourself to smile (inwardly & outwardly) through stressful situations, annoyances, anything that presents as a test to positive energies. Proactivley approach the day & give yourself a chance to react in a more positive way. And of course, pray & give thanks because whatever it is, each day is moment by moment & tomorrow is a new day ♡☆♡☆

“I Can’t Keep Calm! It’s her birthday!”

Good morning ♡

TGIF! I hope everyone had a good week; if things were trying, look to the silver lining & keep your head up! Today’s Feel Free Friday moment goes out my lil lovebug Nia! Happy birthday to my special little girl who turns 6 today (gosh how time flies)! I am so happy to be a Mommy! As parents, our kids try our patience & make us think, “Am I crazy?”, but they are also the very beats of our hearts. Being a parent is a position in life that never fades & there is always room for growth & learning. My lil Luv-Luv is one of my biggest motivations for all that I do, & she keeps me going when times get tough. My end note of “Love yourself & be yourself, ” is from her, where each morning we recite our mantra to have fun, learn lots, be kind, & Love yourself & be yourself. And she does it! Each evening she tells me about something fun, something she learned, &at times where she has tood up for herself & walked away from persons or situations that are testing her positive Spirit. I cant speak enough on how proud I am of my lil girl when she says she’s helping her friends & younger kids in other classes how to read 🙂 & she is the student who helps the JKs when they get hurt in class or the playground (honorary nurse-in-training). She makes me proud & I let her know that. Today is also my big brother’s birthday! Yay! Happy birthday to the best big brother a girl could ask for! Through everything he has always been there & today I not only honor the bond & love we share (still calls me kiddo & I love it 🙂 )but also the bond he shares with his niece, as he predicted she would come into this world on his birthday! 🙂 So here’s to my bro & my lil girl! Happy birthday! We love you! Have a great weekend everyone! Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Power of the tongue

Good morning ♡

Welcome to Winter! That crept up on us didn’t it? Shovelling by early morning moonlight is defintely a task to say the least, but I embrace my turn in this task & give thanks for a driveway to even shovel & there’s something about the early morning stillness that energizes the Spirit (plus I got those early morning squats in! Yay!) Be safe out there lovelies & keep warm ♡ Today’s daily is about the power of the tongue. So much of what we say has power & we don’t often realize the realities we are creating when we say certain things. In complaint, we find all what is wrong with something or someone & stay in an angry or annoyed state. But what we if we regarded each troubling or annyoing predicament with Love for Self & Spirit first? Try & find the opportunity for learning & speak words of encouragement to it & to you. I’ll be the first to admit that this can be difficult as thoughts rush in of “but they did this” or “this situation/task sucks.” We are human & this is normal. The point is to find the positive opposite of that thought & dwell in that. It is here you will find your Peace. Let good words come from your lips & create the reality of positivity. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Activity: Today, make a list of things that are troubling you. Next to each point, write the opposite of what would be a more peaceful approach. Say the positive approach out loud to yourself to aid yourself in believing & knowing that this is possible. Your words create the vibrations around you. Make them feel good!
