Today’s activity: Make a to do list and prioritize your short term and long term goals. Each day, make a step towards those goals, no matter how big or small those steps are. Give thanks for every opportunity, and continue on your path to greatness!  Don’t forget to pray and meditate!

Perfectionism

Good morning ♡

Perfection. We strive for it. We long for it. We become obsessed with it, and it rips us up inside, racing towards a finish line that seems that the closer we get the the farther it becomes. We are not created to be perfect, but created to be human. That doesn’t mean we should live blindly in things that are not good to our Spirit and to those around us,  but rather to strive towards an inner peace knowing you are doing the best you can everyday to live Good and to Love always. When you are not aligned with that, don’t beat yourself up about it. Instead, choose again to do better. Stop and reevaluate where you are, where you need to be, and what the best route is for you to get there. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action :

You have the right to choose. You have the right to change your mind. Today, if you see yourself becoming too caught up in keeping up appearances, too involved in making yourself look good for others, make a choice to feel good for you. Make a step in a clearer direction and love yourself as you are. Be gentle with yourself and accept yourself as you are: always growing, always working towards a better you, flaws and all ♡

☆Communication☆

Good morning ♡

Communication is key. In order for others to understand what you feel, it’s important to speak up and say what needs to be said. At other times, it is silence that speaks louder. Take a moment to reflect on a time when you should have spoken up or stayed silent. Think about how you felt at that moment and take a stand today for yourself to continue in a direction that allows others to hear you: in words or in silence. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action:

Make a point today to listen more than you speak.  Let yor actions show the importance of communicating not only through verbal responses but also by how you show you are listening, as actions often speak the loudest. You will feel more present and more fulfilled with the interaction.

Being grateful for what you have is a good step forward into having peace in your life. It’s the constant want for more and more that makes us feel discontent with what we already have. Yes, we all need things, but what is most important? Are we atremtping to live beyind our means or are we doing the best with what we have, being wise towards furture needs and wants? Today, feel the peace within that comes with knowing you already have what you need, & build on that. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action :

Today, make a concious effort to think about the things and people in your life that you are grateful for (people, shelter, food, clothing, transportation, love, etc).  Ask yourself where would you be if it weren’t for…..and then give thanks. This practice can really help you see past what you don’t have and embrace what you do have.

Know your worth! In order to have that inner peace we have to understand the true value of ourselves. So many of us attach our self esteem to the opinions and perceptions that others have of us. We want so desperately to be liked and needed,that we put up with a lot of things we shouldn’t or normally wouldn’t. But how does this show our value? How does this honor the Peace within us, the Creator’s spirit within that has created us for greatness and to fulfill our purposes, to live our truths? It doesn’t. All it does is a create a void and we wonder what’s missing. Affirm for yourself that you are worthy! You are worthy to be loved! You are worthy to br cared for and respected!  Demand it of yourself and demand it of from others. And if they can’t give you that, if a situation you are in is making you doubt who you truly are, then know your worth to leave it alone or walk away. Love yourself & be yourself.  Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action :

Today’s goal is to free yourself. Give yourself the time and space to reflect on what you really want for your life. Get rid of the clutter that is weighing you down and making you feel unworthy of the benefits of Peace. You can make a list or on pieces of paper and put them in a jar, of the things in your life that xause you to doubt your true self worth. Once you’ve done that, take some deep breaths, forgive yourself, and live in your truth.  Recongize that your life is worth more than what is on that list or in that jar.

Patience is a virtue

Good morning ♡

The saying that patience is a virtue is very telling of the value of waiting. Now, this can very well be misconstrued as sitting and doing nothing, waiting for something to happen. But it’s not necessarily the lack of action but rather the actions we do while we wait. Faith is a huge component of this concept, and one must work towards a calmness, a sense of well being that eleviates stress and allows one to feel closer to one’s self. This can make the period of waiting most valuable in that you become more humble upon receiving the thing you were waiting for.

Action:

Patience practice: waiting in a long line up today? Instead of getting annoyed, take a deep breath and take your mind to a more productive thought as opposed to “Hurry up!” Stuck in traffic? Put on one of your favorite CDs to relieve some stress. The old saying that says, “you can’t be late twice,” rings true here. It’s not the waiting part that makes a difference but rather what ypu do while you wait. Find a productive way to pass the time and let the stresses melt away.

Positive vibrations! Meditate on what is good, because what you think of is what you will speak of, and what you speak of is what you will bring to your heart and what you bring to your heart is what will manifest itself in ypur life. So think of what’s good and speak on what is good so that you will always feel what is good and see what is good.

Action:

Think about a situation you are facing that is causing you to think and feel negative.  Now, for each negative feeling, envision yourself feleing the opposite and embrace that as though it is real. Feel the goodness and calm that comes with the positive feeling &  put your energies towards making that vision a reality. It starts with You.

The Scales of Life

Good morning ♡

In everything there is a positive and a negative. When faced with a situation or predicament that tests your emotions, take a look at what benefit can come of it and what loss can come of it. Weighing out each will help you balance your emotions in a way that will help you gain a more peaceful outlook on the situation and help you to move forward. Love yourself & be yourself. Peace & Love ♡ ☆

Action:

Try today to make a choice that will help you feel better about anything you are facing. Is there a trouble with the kids? At work? In your relationships? What are the good things from this ( you can see where things are not in sync and make ways to change them)? What are the negative connotations of this (the situations are making you doubt what you once knew or thought to be true about those involved). Weigh it out and focus on the good of situation.  I  know this can be very challenging as you think, “where is the good in my child acting out at school?” or “what is good about losing my job ?” Maybe it’s time to reevaluate the way you deal with your child’s behavior and change may be needed. Maybe losing your job is preparing you to begin fulfilling your true purpose. Focus on the good and reap the benefits.

When a door closes….

When a door closes a window opens. Opportunities are always arising, you just have to open your heart to find them. Maybe you lost your job, but maybe this is the chance you need to focus your time on your talents that have been neglected because you’ve had to work. Or maybe you didn’t get the promotion you thought was for you because it is time for you to make your own moves. Put your faith into action and take a chance! You will never know until you try!

Action:

Envision yourself standing in a room, that was once familiar and warm, now seems cold and uninviting. You are standing in front of a door that reads, “Open,”but there is no doorknob. What will you do to get out and move to your next level? Search for another way out.  Take this opportunity to devise a new plan and seek out a way to get tp your goals. It could be unlocking a window. It could be a phone call you need to make to seek assistance.  It could be digging a tunnel under the ground (figuratively of course) to get underneath to explore the roots and make it to your next level. Whatever the option, look at it as an opportunity to grow and rise to the next level.
